Growing up we learnt that education is the vehicle to upward social mobility, but on that ride we must travel with cultural, social and spiritual awareness. Such cognizance is heightened by our interactions and encounters which should not be limited to local experiences. Here at Lindsa Financials we believe that financial impecunity should never bar anyone from exploring the undiscovered paths of the international stage. It has become the harsh reality for many of our students attending universities and colleges being incapable of paying for rent, food, utilities, tuition and boarding fees. Students therefore find lucrative means of acquiring income of which work and travel tops the list. The J1 programme provides students with an opportunity to engage in cultural exchange, become more independent and has uncapped earning potential. Being a product of the tourism sector, the work and travel industry has seen accelerated growth from the year of its inception to present day. The Ministry of Labour estimated that more than 3500 students participated in the in work and travel experience in the year 2014, and most agencies reported an increase in participation in comparison to previous years. The associated fees however, may range from 1100 to 1500 USD which may be difficult to obtain for many. It is our goal at Lindsa Financials to help these students by financing them to participate in this experience. In turn, educational promotion of university and college students will increase, thus enhancing sustainable development of the country.

I once read somewhere that solves a problem and the profits will come after. The Lindsa Financials family engages in business to solve the problem facing tertiary students whom want to experience The Student Work and Travel Programme. Our goal is to finance the students whom would like to partake in the experience, but are unable to afford the funding.

The Student Work and Travel market size is growing continuously. This is as a result of more students wanting to experience and understand another country’s culture, beliefs, values and way of life. This allows the students to learn new things, develop an appreciation for differences and foster diversity which will allow them to be more marketable as a person. The financial challenge that plague students each year to pay their tuition or repay The Student Loan Bureau would be alleviated. Students are encouraged to cease such an opportunity in order to lessen the burden.
